R.I.P

I lost an old class mate today. SAD! Just occurring to me that I had been meaning to get in touch with her and see if she finally got round starting her doctorate degree as she told me the last time we spoke. TOO LATE! And my heart is heavy. Question is were we close friends? NO but we were cordial.

Why am I sad? Its because no matter how we think we are deep down, no person SHOULD be ok with the news of the death of someone they once knew or someone they've come in contact with. This is because life is precious and the news of one's death reminds you of the inevitable. It makes you sit up and ask yourself certain questions. It makes you cherish the moments you have with your friends, loved ones, colleagues and family members knowing that NOW is the time to show your love and appreciation for them NOT LATER! NOW
So call that friend, that family member, that boss, that subordinate, that loved one and appreciate them for who they are. It is always easy to get carried away by the hassles of life but remember people around you are extremely important so be there for them, show love, encourage others when you have the chance, challenge them to be better than what they are, forgive when they wrong you and LOVE as often as possible. Its easier said than done but 'you get a pass mark for trying' ...says my husband
THIS IS FOR YOU YASMIN EL'RUFAI. I WILL REMEMBER YOU AS YOU WERE ...LOVELY! Rest in peace. Rest in peace yasmin
